Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. Yoga means union of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit.
Asanas are thought to have physical health benefits and can lead to injury in roughly 1 in 20 practitioners a year in the U.S. Different authors or schools of yoga may have different names for an asana. Many asanas have multiple names or one name may refer to multiple asanas.
Various Asanas, Pranyamas and Kriyas that produce a strong and resilient body capable of withstanding any amount of stress.
